Greater Augusta Communities Partnership

September 9, 2014

This week, the cyber community has converged on Augusta, GA.  AFCEA International is hosting TechNet Augusta.  This in conjunction with growth and opportunities related to Fort Gordon and Army Cyber Command, sparked a collaboration that has not been seen in our region in many years, if ever.  Nine community-based organizations representing three counties in two states joined forces to create the Greater Augusta Communities Partnership.  Columbia County and Richmond County in Georgia and Aiken County in South Carolina.  Our team includes economic development agencies, chambers of commerce, convention and visitor bureaus, and local government.  Our goal is to promote the Greater Augusta Region by showcasing the opportunities available to those interested in living in the region, visiting the region, and doing business in the region.

We live in a great area, with many opportunities to live, work, and play.  Before the growth at Fort Gordon was announced, our community has seen tremendous success, growth, and expansion – business and population.  The Greater Augusta Region and Columbia County are truly entering into a renaissance period.  We know what we have to offer…do you?
